English Practice Day 08
একটি Verb-এর ৫টি Form বা রূপ হয়।
- Base Form (v1) → go, eat, write
- Past Form (v2) → went, ate, wrote
- Past Participle Form (v3) → gone, eaten, written
- Present Participle Form (v4) → going, eating, writing
- Third-person Singular Form (v5) → goes, eats, writes
সাধারণ উক্তি, চিরন্তর সত্য ও নিয়মিত অভ্যাস বোঝালে Simple Present Tense (v1 & v5) হয়।
- The sun rises in the east.
- She drinks tea every morning.
- They walk to school every day.
- He always wears a hat in winter.
- We visit our grandparents on Sundays.
কোন কাজ অতীতে একবার ঘটেছে বোঝালে Simple Past Tense (v2) হয়।
- I visited my grandparents last week.
- She cooked dinner for us yesterday.
- They went to the park in the afternoon.
- He finished his homework an hour ago.
- We watched a film on Saturday.
“এ” যুক্ত ক্রিয়ার পর আরেকটি কাজ হয় বোঝালে Present Participle (v4) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- Going there, I didn’t find him.
- Opening the door, I found a note.
- Listening to the news, I understood the situation.
- Finishing the work, he left the office.
- Running to the station, I caught the train.
কোন একটি কাজের আগে বা পরে আরেকটি কাজ হয়, হয়েছিল বা হবে বোঝালে Gerund (v4) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- After finishing the report, I went for a walk.
- She enjoys reading novels before going to bed.
- Before starting the meeting, we reviewed the agenda.
- He planned on exercising regularly after joining the gym.
- They left the house, having completed all their chores.
“এ” বা “তে” যুক্ত ক্রিয়া বোঝাতে Infinitive (to + v1) ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- I like to read books before bed.
- She decided to cook dinner tonight.
- They want to visit the new café in town.
- He plans to exercise every morning.
- We need to buy groceries for the week.
