Do Verb (Do, Did, Done, Doing, Does)-এর সাথে যদি কোন Verb বসে, তবে তা সব সময় Verb-এর Base Form (v1) হবে।
- Do you like tea?
- I don’t know the answer.
কোন কিছু “করা” অর্থে Do Verb বাক্যে মূল ক্রিয়া হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে।
- I do my homework every evening.
- He does the dishes after dinner.
- They do their best to help us.
- She did her hair before going out.
- We do the shopping on Saturdays.
যে সকল বাক্যে Auxiliary Verb থাকে না সে সকল বাক্য “না-বোধক” ও “প্রশ্নবোধক” করতে Do Verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- I play football.
- Negative: I do not play football.
- Question: Do I play football?
- She likes tea.
- Negative: She does not like tea.
- Question: Does she like tea?
- They need help.
- Negative: They do not need help.
- Question: Do they need help?
- We know the answer.
- Negative: We do not know the answer.
- Question: Do we know the answer?
- He finished his work.
- Negative: He did not finish his work.
- Question: Did he finish his work?
কোন বক্তব্যে জোর (Emphasize) দিতে Do Verb ব্যবহৃত হয়।
- I do appreciate your help with the project.
- She does enjoy reading books on a rainy day.
- They did finish the report on time.
- He does know the answer to that question.
- We do need to talk about the upcoming changes.
